Welcome to Hortly. By using the app you agree to these terms. Please read them.

1. What Hortly is. Hortly is an educational app for learning about gardening. Its lessons and tips are for general interest and learning only, they are not professional horticultural, medical, or safety advice. Always take care with tools, plants and chemicals, and check a qualified source before eating or handling any plant.

2. Using the app. Use Hortly for your own personal, non-commercial learning. Please don't misuse it, attempt to disrupt it, or copy its content for republication.

3. Your content. Any photos, notes and journal entries you add stay yours, and we do not claim ownership of them. They are saved on your device and, when you are signed in, backed up to our secure cloud database so you can reach them from any device. You can delete individual entries at any time, or remove everything by deleting your account in Settings.

4. Our content. The Hortly name, characters (including Sprig and the Garden Guild), artwork, questions and design belong to Hortly and may not be reused without permission.

5. Seeds, leaves and in-app items. Seeds and leaves are in-app rewards with no real-world value. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred between accounts, or redeemed outside Hortly. Items bought with them, such as garden plants, perks and Sprig looks, are a licence to use those items inside the app rather than property you own. We may adjust prices, rewards and what is available as the app develops, and seasonal items may only be offered for a limited period.

6. Subscriptions and purchases. Hortly offers optional paid subscriptions. Where a purchase is made through an app store, it is billed by that store under its own terms, and any subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in your app store account settings. Refunds are handled by the app store in line with its policy and your statutory rights. Cancelling stops future billing; access continues until the end of the paid period.

7. Availability and changes. Hortly is under active development. Features may change, and the app is provided "as is", without warranties. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes to these terms. We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the latest version.
